This sauna was born as a weekend DIY project when we decided to give old materials a second chance. It might sound like hoarding, but when you're an architect, you see potential in everything. Pallets, wooden sleepers, cement-bonded particle boards, sheep wool, and other second-hand treasures – every piece tells a story.

The base is made of wooden sleepers, and the main structure is built from pallets. Sheep wool from a local farm serves as insulation, while the ceiling and walls are covered with reclaimed materials and spruce boards. The exterior is wrapped in façade foil and a wooden grid with second-hand corrugated fiberglass sheets, layered like scales.

The finishing touch is a cooling pool made from an old mining cart painted gold – a contrasting detail that doesn't go unnoticed.
